Businesses have the ability to modify their information at any time, so you are less likely to find outdated information on PalmettoBizBuzz. Also, you're likely to find more information regarding the services that businesses offer. Most importantly, you'll be able to read the experiences of other local consumers with that business.

How does the search process work on PalmettoBizBuzz?
When a user searches using a specific term, PalmettoBizBuzz will only display businesses that include that specific term in their name or in their business category.

How are business listings sorted?

1. Enter the type of business you're looking for (like "plumber" or "veterinarian" or "auto repair") or the name of a specific business in the search box above.
2. Enter your location in the "city, state, zip" box. (The zip code is preferable).
3. Select the "Area of Search" dropdown box to increase or decrease your "area of search" (5 to 100 miles).
4. Click the "Go" button.
5. The results of your search will be listed according to the average rating of each business. Gold Listings (listings with logos and more information) appear at the top of the search results and are sorted by average rating from highest to lowest.

Why do some businesses have more than one listing?
A business may have more than one listing if it has multiple phone numbers at the same location. If you identify a business with duplicate listings, please let us know by emailing us at info@palmettobizbuzz.com.

When I search for something, I don't get any results. Why?
Please check the spelling of the search term. As a general rule, the more words you type into the search box, the fewer results you will receive.

Can PalmettoBizBuzz automatically remember the location for my searches?
Yes. After you have entered your search location in the "City, state, or zip" box, simply check "Store this address" below.

How can I adjust the geographic scope of my search?
The radius search option helps you find businesses that are located within set distances from a chosen location. You can set the search area between a 5-mile and 100-mile radius.

How do I see a map for a business location?
You can view a map of a business's location from the company's profile page. You can also get driving directions. Please note that the map feature is only accurate if the business has a specific street address. If you are using the Firefox web browser, you will need version 1.5 or newer in order to see the maps.

How can I write a review of business on PalmettoBizBuzz?
Simply find a business you want to review, and then click on the "review this business" link next to its listing. You will be prompted to log in. If you don't already have an account, click the "register now" link.

Why register as a PalmettoBizBuzz user?
Registered users of PalmettoBizBuzz are the only consumers who can write and publish reviews of local businesses on the site. PalmettoBizBuzz encourages visitors to give accurate and honest reviews of local service professionals. To protect the credibility of these reviews, we allow consumers to review a business only once. That's why we ask consumers to register first.

After I have registered, how do I log in to my account the next time I visit PalmettoBizBuzz?
Click the "Reviewer Login" link in the bottom righthand corner of the green search bar at the top of the website.

I forgot my username and/or password. What do I do?
At the bottom of the log-in page, you'll see a link to "Forgot your password?" Click on that and then type the email address you used to register on the site. Your password will then be emailed to you.

In order for a business to be listed on PalmettoBizBuzz.com, it must meet at least ONE of the following two criteria:

     •It must have a phone number with an area code of South Carolina or a neighboring state, or
     •It must have an actual street address (not a P.O. Box) in South Carolina or a neighboring state.

How can I make a correction to the listing for my business?
PalmettoBizBuzz.com is eager to provide the most accurate information possible about local businesses. If you are a business owner who wants to correct information about your business on PalmettoBizBuzz, simply click on the "update your listing" link that appears on the profile page for your business. A PalmettoBizBuzz staff member can provide assistance.

How can I change the specific business categories for my business?
Click on the "Update your Free Listing" link on your business listing. You will see your current business categories. On this page, there is a link to a list of all business categories. After opening the list, simply click on the "+" symbol next to the main category names to find your appropriate subcategory or use the "Search" option to find category terms for your business. Then, just click on the appropriate category, and it will be automatically entered into the box. When you are finished, click "Submit Listing Update."

Can I include more than one business category on my listing?

How can I respond to a review of my business?
Businesses that have upgraded to a Premium Listing can post a response to any specific review they have received - subject to the standards set forth on this website. This can be an opportunity to thank a customer for a positive review or to offer a rebuttal to a negative review. The response will appear directly below the original review. This option is only available to businesses with a Premium Listing.

If your business no longer exists, or if it has moved, please provide us with sufficient information to determine whether a change in the listing should be made.
